It’s Fall Y’all!!! Meeker FFA hosted a booth at the Meeker Fall Festival October 29th.  FFA Members helped run the booth while local kids played ladder ball and received candy.  Pictured: A local fairy princess playing ladder ball and Chapter President Zach Guy.

Meeker FFA Officers had the opportunity to go to the Colt Conference on September 6, 2016.  The officers got together with other officers from their district along with the state officers to discuss ways to become a better officer/officer team.  Our chapter had the honor of eating lunch at Zio’s Italian Restaurant with the Southwestern District Vice President, Garret Saunders.  This picture was taken after eating lunch with Mr. Saunders. Friday, August 26th 2016, The Meeker FFA hosted their annual picnic. At the picnic all the FFA members divided up into separate clans lead by the officers. The officers, President: Zach Guy, Vice President: Maddie Devereaux, Secretary: Taylor Morrow, Reporter: Brooke Rickner, Sentinel: Emma Fletcher, and Treasurer: Laney Bowen each got to show leadership skills while leading their clan through games and competing to win the spirit award.  During the picnic, the officers announced junior offices. Each officer gets their junior officer and that junior officer is responsible for going to all FFA events and helping their officer. FFA members and their familes got to just get together, eat hot dogs, play volleyball, and just have some fun!

William Hamand is the Meeker FFA Chapter Adviser. This is his fourth year teaching at Meeker Public Schools. His favorite thing about FFA is all of his students. Mr. Hamand strives to make the students feel confident in what they do, and to never give up when they make a mistake. His favorite memory in FFA was when he was elected president of his own FFA Chapter. He believes that his students are capable of making our chapter successful. Mr. Hamand’s words of advice are YOGOWYPI, or You Only Get Out What You Put In.
